My client, a prestigious Intellectual Property firm at the forefront of innovation and legal acumen, is embarking on an exciting phase of expansion. As they continue to foster a culture of excellence and expertise, they are now seeking an experienced Trade Mark Attorney to spearhead the development of a new Trade Mark team. This pivotal role is based in the vibrant heart of London, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of their Trade Mark practice.

The Lead Trade Mark Attorney will be instrumental in building and guiding a dedicated Trade Mark team, leveraging their profound knowledge and experience in the field. This role not only demands a comprehensive understanding of trade mark law but also a visionary approach to team leadership and client management. Some sort of following is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Establish, grow, and lead a new Trade Mark team, setting strategic direction and ensuring delivery of high-quality service
  • Client Management: Develop and nurture lasting relationships with existing clients while strategically expanding the client base. A following would be advantageous, though there is a robust workflow available from the outset
  • Legal Expertise: Provide expert advice on all aspects of trade mark law, including but not limited to, prosecution, opposition, enforcement, and strategic IP portfolio management
  • Business Development: Collaborate with senior management on business development efforts to bolster the firm's market presence and trade mark practice growth

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experienced Trade Mark Attorney with a proven track record of excellence in the field
  • Experience in Leading Teams: Demonstrated experience in building and managing teams, with a keen ability to inspire and drive performance
  • Client-Focused: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural aptitude for developing client relationships. A client following would be highly regarded, although not mandatory
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically about business growth, with a proactive approach to seizing opportunities and addressing challenges
  • Adaptable and Collaborative: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, fostering collaboration across departments to achieve shared objectives
