I`m delighted to be recruiting for this exciting position of Head of System Test for a global leader in the design and manufacture of connectivity solutions based in Cambridge.

As the Head of Test you will devise, develop and implement overall test strategy for all product releases and testing activities through development and supply chain, ensuring appropriate test coverage, resource and deadlines are achieved as well as ensuring suitable risk mitigation strategies are in place.

The successful candidate will have senior experience within strategy, team management and prioritising risk management. You will be required to mentor and develop junior members of the Software Test team alongside collaborating with other areas of the business such as Software Development, Hardware Development, Product Management and Project Management to ensure the QA process delivers robust and effective releases aligned with user requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Leading successful software/ hardware testing teams.
• Designing and implementing automation test programs using relevant tools.
• Manage and carry out all aspects of System Test throughout the product design, development, and introduction programs
• Ensuring all team members have development plans in place and are adequately supported in delivering a robust QA program.Drive quality & continuous improvement in testing processes.
• Maintaining test plans throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring project team members and senior management are aware of the impact of product changes on delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience/ knowledge with:

• Strategic and creative test programs (Software & Hardware)
• ISO9001 and or other Quality management systems and associated tools
• Knowledge of some or all of with HDMI/DisplayPort specifications, USB, TCP, HTTP and associated test requirements
• Experience and knowledge of software security standards, such as NIST
• Microsoft Excel and Word for the purposes of data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with standard project management and QA tools like Jira and Git.
