As the Head of SEND, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that every child, regardless of their abilities, receives the support they need to thrive. This isn't just a job - it's an opportunity to lead transformative initiatives and create lasting impact within our community.

?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve SEND provision across the authority.
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Advocate for the needs of children and young people with SEND, both within our authority and beyond.
  • Forge strong partnerships with schools, parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
  • Stay abreast of legislative changes and best practices in SEND, driving continuous improvement.

?? Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the field of SEND, ideally within a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and driving positive change in SEND provision.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A genuine commitment to promoting inclusivity and removing barriers to learning.
