Our client, a Sports Media business based on the outskirts of Leeds/Bradford, are experiencing significant and continued growth in 2024 and as a result have exciting recruitment plans. As part of these plans, they are seeking an ambitious and proactive Head of Sales to join the team. This newly created role requires an experienced leader and salesperson with demonstrated success in driving a high-performing team. Collaborating closely with the Managing Director, you will oversee the sales team, refine and execute the strategy, and drive business growth through effective lead generation, customer development, and strategic partnerships. You will be passion about people development, supported individuals in their career journey, growth, and success.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Sales:

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to refine and execute the sales strategy.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to brainstorm and strategise lead generation campaigns, utilising an extensive CRM database of leads and contacts, and consistently reviewing the data.
  • Lead and develop the sales team across all revenue streams to achieve targets and KPIs while ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Research and identify new market trends, suggest new services, and cultivate partnerships.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient sales process, including CRM system management.
  • Foster collaboration across internal teams to maximise efficiency and results.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience within sales management is essential, with a proven track record of surpassing sales targets and driving a successful team.
  • Demonstrated success in new business strategy and customer development.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and retain a high-performing sales team.
  • Commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset, innovative and "ideasy".
  • A history of identifying, negotiating, and closing new business.
  • Proficiency in utilising data analytics to inform sales strategy and processes.
