Meridian Business Support are working on behalf of our client, a healthcare provider in Nottinghamshire. They are keen to recruit a passionate, experienced Head of Psychology for their division. 

Our client provides acute and psychiatric intensive care services to those in need across Nottinghamshire. They work closely with referring Trusts to achieve minimum lengths of stay, and are able to provide an extension to care pathways during times of fluctuating demand.

The post-holder will lead and deliver a high quality, evidence based psychological service for males and females across both Acute and PICU settings.

Role responsibilities
  • Be able to undertake complex assessments and risk assessment, develop comprehensive formulations and deliver specialist individual and group treatments relevant to the service.
  • In addition, you will be required to provide clinical supervision for qualified and assistant psychologists, deliver reflective practice and develop and deliver training packages for staff of other disciplines, as required.
The ideal candidate 
  • Suitably qualified Psychology with leadership experience
  • Candidates should have excellent organisational ability and well developed interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. 
  • Be able to work autonomously
  • Able to perform effectively within a multi-disciplinary team is essential
  • An interest in conducting clinically relevant research would be helpful.
  • Experience of working within ACUTE/PICU settings is highly desirable.
