Head of Product & Proposition - Banking

Our client is a well established UK bank, specialising in SME lending and savings products.

They have an exciting, newly created role which is instrumental in driving their ongoing business growth, and a key appointment to the senior leadership team.

The role is responsible for the leadership of the product and proposition strategy, in order to meet the banks objectives and strategic plan. Continually improving the current offering, as well as identifying opportunities to bring new products and propositions to market, based on competitor analysis and internal feedback.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to..

Responsible for the bank’s product and proposition strategy across all customer groups, including product design and development, pricing, and performance.

Responsible for the creation and delivery of new products, policy and criteria enhancements and propositions to support growth ambitions.

Responsible for the delivery of the savings funding target for the bank.

Ensure adherence to risk appetites in development of products and proposition activities.

Advise the Board and Exco on topics related to Savings & Lending products, inputting into the strategic direction of the bank through the strategic planning process.

Responsible for key relationship management and broker strategic management.

Maintain a knowledge of core competitors and the banks relative competitive positioning

The successful candidate will have held a similar senior position within the financial services sector, preferably with experience and knowledge of the SME lending/savings space. You will be a strong people leader, with excellent relationship and influencing skills, strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of Consumer Duty, Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly requirements.
