As the Head of Product Marketing - Portfolio & Programmes, you will lead the development and implementation of strategies and plans for cross-portfolio marketing programmes, campaigns, and projects. Supporting the Global Director and Associate Director of Product Marketing to deliver the organisation’s product marketing strategy and meet annual recruitment and revenue targets.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Act as a marketing interface between Product, Sales and Marketing teams to help define the overall proposition and story at category/product level for internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Proposition development: Based on customer insight develop competitive, differentiated, segmented product propositions, positioning and messaging for customers which create competitive advantage for our products in markets.
  • Pricing: responsibility for developing competitive pricing strategies, payment plans and discounting strategies.
  • Ensure your product portfolio achieves targets via innovative/ well executed product marketing initiatives
  • Go to market planning & execution - with colleagues in Sales, Product, Partner, wider marketing teams to design the optimum go to market approach to meet student recruitment, brand reach and satisfaction targets
  • Marketing campaigns - plan and deliver marketing and communications assets and toolkits for marketing and sales colleagues that enable them to create and execute appropriate and powerful campaigns.
  • Utilising market insight and customer data, be responsible for leading the development and execution of annual product marketing plans to meet and/or exceed university expectations and business goals.
  • Product launches - coordinate the planning of new product launches and releases, manage the cross-functional marketing readiness to handle the new product and deliver and execute the product marketing aspects of the launch - including all asset development, training content, sales enablement toolkits and coordination with other marketing/sales/communications teams.
  • Based on customer insight and demand, and working with sales and product colleagues, actively identify up/cross sell opportunities, new product innovations or extensions to maximise commercial ROI.
  • Responsible for marketing compliance and approvals in the development and delivery of plans and assets.
  • Lead and manage the marketing relationship with university partners on the assigned projects, where relevant, ensuring regular communication and engagement with key university stakeholders.
  • Manage the use of data analytics, market trends and student insights to inform the global team and drive strategic marketing plans, actionable insights, business cases and the development of propositions.
  • Conduct /disseminate post-campaign insights, lessons learned and sharing best practices.
  • Motivate, engage and develop others through positive reinforcement, fostering a culture of inclusion, and by acting as an inspirational role model.
  • Clearly articulate the Company’s business goals / plans and initiatives, ensure they are translated into action through outcome setting, regular communication / cascade, and feedback processes.


ABOUT YOU

  • Professional marketing qualification desirable.
  • Product marketing experience in an international context.
  • Understanding of / experience in Higher Education sector.
  • Experience of working in a multi-channel and matrix organisation.
  • Strategic thinker to develop innovative strategies to drive business growth.
  • Experienced at stakeholder management.
  • Commercially aware and data-driven with a clear focus on ROI.
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and writing skills, a keen visual sense, and an eye for detail.
  • Execution and delivery mindset with strong project management and operational execution skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic integrated marketing plans across the channel mix.
  • Ability to support a strategic vision and plans aligned to brand and business objectives.
  • Budget management experience
