Head of Platform - Transformation, Banking, Product

The main purpose of the role is to ensure the stability and optimal performance of the bank's critical systems platform. This includes overseeing the management and maintenance of the platform's application, infrastructure, and cloud/3rd party components. The Head of Platform / Head of Engineering & Architecture/ Platform Owner works closely with the various IT teams and vendors to proactively monitor system health, identify potential issues, and implement necessary upgrades or fixes to prevent downtime and disruptions to banking operations

Core focus of the role:

• Core Banking Platform Management: Take overall accountability and technical ownership of the bank's core banking system, including:
• System Architecture and Design: Ensure there a documented, robust and scalable architecture for the core banking platform is maintain and that it aligns with the Bank's day to day objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Platform Performance and Stability: Monitor and optimise the performance of the core banking platform to ensure it operates efficiently and delivers a seamless banking experience to customers
• Platform Upgrades and Enhancements: Stay abreast of update to the components that comprise the platform and execute system upgrades and enhancements to meet changing business needs and improve operational efficiency
• Matrix Collaboration & Prioritisation: Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, 3rd parties and other departments to ensure relevant priorities are maintained for the core banking platform.

Experience needed:

• Proven experience as a Core System Platform Owner / Senior Platform Architect / Application Architect / Banking Application Architect or similar role in the banking or financial services industry.
• Experienced of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholder
• Deep understanding of core banking systems, software, and related technologies
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
• Strong communicator - both written and verbal skills
