We are seeking an exceptional candidate to fill the Head of People position for our prestigious client in the education sector, based in Canterbury (parking IS available). This is a full-time, permanent position and commands a starting salary of c£63,500, with benefits to include a whopping 43 days annual leave per annum! Other benefits include:

The ideal candidate will have a depth of generalist HR experience, gained in a large, complex, unionised organisation, with experience of managing a team of HR professionals. You will also have extensive and recent generalist HR experience, as well as designing and implementing centralised operating frameworks. A track record of developing HR policy, matching leading HR practice to business needs, using complex data to inform decisions and present persuasive arguments to key stakeholders, is also imperative, as is leading and managing the HR aspects of strategic/major projects.

You will have Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) Level 7 advanced qualifications - or equivalent and demonstrable senior HR experience - as well as a degree, or equivalent.

Other requirements: a solid knowledge and understanding of UK employment legislation; a good level and knowledge of UK immigration legislation; excellent influencing and negotiating skills; ability to deliver presentations to large groups of Managers and staff - be a capable public speaker.
