Head of People & Development - Social Care - West Mids

Location: Birmingham
Salary: IRO £55K (DOE)

We're working with a prominent care provider in the West Midlands to recruit a Head of People. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented and experienced Head of People to join their team and lead the HR functions.

Position Overview:
As the Head of People & Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and driving the success of the organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, including Employee Relations, Learning & Development, and Recruitment. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for creating an engaged and high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement HR strategies and policies to support the company's growth objectives and promote a positive work culture.

* Oversee all aspects of Employee Relations, including managing disciplinary actions, grievances, and employee engagement initiatives.

* Lead the Learning & Development function, identifying training needs, designing programs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

* Drive the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and collaborating with hiring managers to ensure the selection of top talent

* Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and career development.

* Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably within the social care sector or a similar industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
