What you'll be doing

We are currently looking for a Head of Operations Excellence for our Food for Later (FFL) portfolio to provide day to day leadership support and direction to our Food for Later portfolio, and to a given set of Business or Continuous Improvement teams, to deliver annual business plan savings through manufacturing excellence. To deliver the implementation of the automation solutions in line with the automation roadmap.

* Ensure that Operation Greencore manufacturing excellence teams are budgeted and resourced appropriately to enable delivery of their business improvement targets.

* Align the business behind and ensure successful implementation of the in-year automation program savings.

* Leadership and direction of the operation manufacturing excellence community for the given manufacturing units, to ensure the people are kept safe, engaged, focused, developed, and delivering to their potential.

* Work with site and network colleagues to ensure that a pipeline of achievable operation manufacturing excellence initiatives capable of delivering the agreed targets is developed.

* Monitor site delivery of operation manufacturing excellence initiatives and maturity within agreed timescales and financial targets, escalating support requests to network colleagues if required.

Flexible location as covering 9 sites across Greencore.

* Able to build capability in others throughout the organisation through coaching in business improvement processes methodologies and behaviours.

* Educated to degree level (from an accredited college or university) preferably in Operations, Business, Engineering, Science or Maths (or relevant, equivalent experience).

* Experience of delivering results in fast paced world recognised manufacturing environment.

* Experience of effective leadership - leading teams to deliver successful business changes, both performance and cultural.

* Experience of delivering training and coaching with good facilitation skills

* Able to engage others to consider "what should we do?" and draw them away from "what do we actually do"

* Ability to build relationships and deliver results through managing stakeholders

* Lean and Continuous Improvement knowledge and experience

* Experience of leading change through multi-site teams

* Advanced analytical skills
