Head of Memberships Accountancy Sector
A unique opportunity has arisen to head up a leading membership and benefits organisation who service the small accountancy practice industry.
As head of memberships you will oversee and improve the proposition, whilst driving membership holding such responsibilities as liaising and negotiating with benefit providers, sourcing new providers, and incorporating benefits into the membership proposition. You will continuously improve the member's proposition and portal, liaise with relevant stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and HMRC in respect of matters that impact the membership, and oversee the complaints framework and ethical guidance breaches.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a commercial mind and experience in driving membership communications and overseeing technical output and updates. You will be responsible for driving the marketing plan (through shared services) with a view to increasing membership, through e-marketing, direct marketing, and partnership arrangements. You will front membership communications, forums, and oversee and host the annual conference. Additionally, you will oversee and improve the operational fulfilment of the membership proposition.
Key Responsibilities- Liaising and negotiating with benefit providers and sourcing new providers.
- Incorporating benefits into the membership proposition and continuous improvement of the member's proposition/portal.
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and HMRC in respect of matters that impact the membership.
- Overseeing the complaints framework and ethical guidance breaches.
- Fronting membership communications, forums, and overseeing and hosting the annual conference.
- Overseeing and improving the operational fulfilment of the membership proposition.
- Driving membership communications and overseeing technical output and updates.
- Driving the marketing plan with a view to increasing membership, through e-marketing, direct marketing, and partnership arrangements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- A commercial mind and the ability to drive the marketing plan with a view to increasing membership.
- Experience in e-marketing, direct marketing, and partnership arrangements ideally within a professional services environment
- An accountancy background will be an advantage but is not essential.
