Everyone's read the stats. Cancer will affect 1 in 2 of us in our life. That's brutal. There's plenty we can do to positively support cancer research and those who have cancer outside of our corporate life but few opportunities where as a marketer your day-to-day work can help to bring a little comfort to those in cancer treatment. Due to the nature of the business, this is one such opportunity.

As Head of Marketing you'll report directly to the CEO and be responsible for creating the marketing strategy, integrating with the wider senior leadership team and leading your team of 8 to continue growth at speed internationally.

Your audience is multi-faceted covering clinicians, patients and investors across over 60 countries. This is not a job for the faint-hearted or work-shy and due to the importance of the role it's critical that you've experience at a similar level and within a regulated business (ideally medical related) and preferably with exposure to the US as a core market.

About You:

  • Accomplished departmental leader with experience developing strategy, owning budget and leading team and integrating with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience marketing within a heavily regulated industry, preferably within the medical industry.
  • Exposure to marketing in multiple international markets including the US.
  • Passionate about brand and what this means for a business, taking ownership of creative output, tone, and style.
  • Experience across the marketing mix including digital, social and traditional print based collateral.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Raising global awareness and usage of medical devices which can reduce trauma during cancer treatment.
  • Working with the senior leadership team to integrate marketing strategy and planning into wider business plans.
  • Leading and developing a team of marketers, designers and communications professionals.
  • Taking ownership for global marketing strategy, delivery, analysis and reporting.

Where You'll Be Based:

You'll need to drive given the location of the office away from major transport links but easily commutable by car from both Manchester and Leeds locations. You'll work on a hybrid model with flexibility on days and time spent in office but should realistically expect to be in twice a week in general.
