Head of Litigation/Dispute Resolution Department - Associate Director

Location: Solihull
Salary: Competitive - £60,000 to £85,000 FTE (dependent on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented professional to join our client's team as the Head of Litigation. As a dynamic firm, this role involves growing the department while maintaining the high standards of client service. Potential for directorship and shareholding exists for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Leadership:

  • Lead, manage, and expand the Dispute Resolution Department.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies and initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment and support team members.


Dispute Resolution and Litigation:

  • Handle complex dispute resolution cases, including negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation.
  • Develop effective legal strategies to represent clients in disputes.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective case resolution.
  • Manage invoicing and collections for yourself and your team.


Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Deliver exceptional legal services tailored to clients' needs.
  • Provide proactive legal advice.


Business Development:

  • Identify business growth opportunities.
  • Acquire new clients.
  • Develop a strong network within the legal community.


Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in dispute resolution and litigation.
  • Previous leadership or management experience, preferably within a law firm.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Business acumen and a strategic mindset.
  • Expertise in employment law, with a proven track record of handling employment-related cases, is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong IT literacy and experience with case management systems.
