We're looking for an experienced Science Teacher looking to join this expanding secondary school as their Head of KS4 Science. This position would suit a Teacher looking for a step up or a current head of key stage seeking a new challenge.

About the role

This is a full-time, permanent role in which you will be expected to deliver well-planned lessons and strong behaviour management. You will also be responsible for reviewing and developing the Key Stage 4 curriculum, assessments and data.

As a Head of Key Stage, you will have the opportunity to spend a year working on a leadership development programme run by an external consultant. The programme focuses on developing your understanding of the curriculum, what to look for in lesson observations and how to develop your leadership skills. Departmental meetings happen on timetable during the school day to help support life work balance for their staff.

The ideal candidate

• Extensive experience teaching Science at Key Stage 4
• Strong teaching background
• Available for interview and observation
• Committed and proactive in regards to engaging students
