Head of IT Service Management - UK-Wide

Head of IT Service Management with experience in leading IT Service Management operations, service architecture and building out mid to large IT service management teams is required by a leading UK-based consultancy.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK with over average of 1 day a week in one of the localised offices (there will be some weeks when you will not be needed to go into the office) *Lots of Home working if needed*

You must be eligible for SC clearance, so you have been working in the UK for at least the last 5 years.

Skills required:

• 15+ years of broad experience in IT Service Management, Service architecture, service operations
• Extensive experience in building out IT Service teams of 15+ people
• Ideally, some government sector, Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear, and Civil Engineering experience would be a bonus.
• ITIL, Agile OR ITSM experience
• Service Delivery Management experience on a large scale.
• Change & IT Service transition management experience.

This is a new role for a consultancy to increase their offering to clients around IT Service Management. My client needs to offer wider service management solutions, more than just support, so they want to implement a broader service management lifecycle function, understanding requirements, service delivery, etc meaning they can offer a much better solution to clients.

Therefore, they need an experienced leader that has a proven track record. This Head of IT Service Management position is to build and transform that team. Currently, at 15 people, they have quite a few senior consultants who are involved in service architecture etc. Part of your role will be to increase the headcount to around 30, hire more technical people and introduce a better culture and IT Service Management offering around Service Delivery & Service Management. You must be that change agent that completely transforms what they do in IT Service Management & IT Service Delivery

My client is looking to pay a starting salary of between £70,000 - £90,000 + £6,000 car allowance + Private Healthcare + 10% Pension.
