Part-time - Head of Business Development – Institutional FX solutions.  Are you a seasoned FI FX Sales professional, with experience of leading FX sales teams, recently retired / maybe considering retirement  (but not quite ready to hang up your boots yet), or contemplating a transition from the grind of lengthy days in the City?  The chance to work a day or two each week, spearheading the success of an exciting industry-changing FX solution?

I’m currently recruiting for a FinTech start-up (established 5yrs now). The board consists of some extremely experienced industry specialists. They have developed a Foreign Exchange solution with widespread application and huge potential.

They have a footprint in the market, working in a space where their offering has a great deal of positive correlation in the industry and its future.  There's a massive potential for the product, for all sizes and many types of organisation in the Forex space. They already have clients on-board, including a huge institution, but wish to expand further and commence scaling-up.

The role will see you leading a small team of business development managers, all FX veterans in their own right, who focus on providing ‘warm’ introductions to the company for different areas of the industry: e.g. payments, asset managers, pension funds, partnerships, money transfer companies, etc.

The role is not so much coordination – the BDMs manage themselves and their own time – but is more a hands-on one, a point of contact for them, but ‘leading from the front’ and  conducting the actual sales process yourself.  The BDMs provide the warm introductions and, using your FX industry expertise, you continue with the sales process, from demonstration to closing the business.

You’ll also be the interface between the sales team and the senior management team, and generally providing overarching support and advice.

Location:  The majority of the work is remote but, due to the nature of the industry, it will require someone who has ready access to Central London.

N.B.:  Remuneration:  Ultimately, the role will carry a salary but, at this stage of their growth, this isn’t a salaried position (no one at the company is, at present), but they will offer an attractive amount of share options and their Introducer commission rates are 20%, with a 15% year-on-year renewal rate, up to 10 years, so they can certainly make the offer appealing, but it needs to be ‘right’ for the time in your career (thus possibly more appealing to someone at the end of their ‘classic career’; someone who can see the vision and sheer potential of the offering and who wants to be part of the journey.

Services advertised by Dupen are those of an Agency.
