The Company:
Oasis Community Housing (OCH) is a Christian Charity and part of the Oasis Charitable Trust, group of charities. OCH are on a mission to help those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, as well as providing support and other specialised services across the North East. 

OCH are looking for a Financial Controller to join the Senior Leadership Team of the Charity and lead the operational running of the Finance Team. The role will support the Chief Operating Officer in building and strengthening finance systems to ensure they are fit for purpose for the next stage of OCH's growth. 

The Role:
  • Lead the financial management of the charity and identify best practice.
  • Train, manage and lead the finance team.
  • Provide monthly and annual cashflow forecasts.
  • Oversee the production of monthly financial reporting and improve budget accountability. 
  • Produce quarterly financial information for Board.
  • Oversee the production of annual accounts.
  • Prepare the Charity's annual budget.
  • Manage key external financial relationships.
  • Oversee payroll.

Person Specification:
  • Qualified accountant or qualified by significant experience.
  • Experience of managing a Finance function.
  • Experience working in a growing organisation and managing change is desirable.
  • Background within a charitable organisation is desirable.
  • Ability to work flexibly and to the demands of the organisation.
