Prospero Teaching is looking for a Head of Drama to join an Ofsted Good, mixed secondary school.

The school is based in Stanmore, North West London, which is an Outer London school.

This Head of Drama teaching position starts in September 2024 and is a full-time teaching position. The dept aims to meet the demands of the National Curriculum for Drama and you will lead a team of Drama teachers. The Headteacher is seeking an experienced Drama teacher who can deliver well-planned lessons, keep up-to-date with national developments in Drama, pedagogy, and methodology and lead the teachers within the Drama department. You will be leading a team of 3 qualified Drama teachers.

THE HEAD OF DRAMA TEACHING JOB:

  • Full-time Head of Drama teaching role
  • Teaching Key stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and possibly Key Stage 5
  • Edexcel
  • Full time (5 days a week) teaching position including planning and marking.
  • Parking is available on-site and the school is well-served by public transport

ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL HEAD OF DRAMA WILL BE

  • An outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track Drama cord of excellent Drama suits and a compelling vision for improvement.
  • Ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTSor QTLS) or equivalent.
  • Someone who can manage students of different abilities and differentiate lessons in line with the needs of the students
  • You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
