Job Title: Head of Credit Control

Location: East of England, Hertfordshire, Hemel Hempstead

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Per annum

Benefits: Bonus

  • Manage the credit control function within the organisation.
  • Oversee the credit risk assessment process for new and existing customers.
  • Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyse credit data and financial statements.
  • Lead a team of credit controllers to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Collaborate with sales and finance teams to resolve credit-related issues.
  • Prepare regular reports on credit control performance for senior management.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practises in credit management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in credit control management.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in credit management (e.g., CICM).
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in credit control.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Sound understanding of credit control principles and practises.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving targets.
Working Conditions:.
  • Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or training.
  • Fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
