Our client are a fast growth business.

They are now looking for a Head of Creative and Content to join the team.

Purpose of the role

The Head of Creative and Content plays a pivotal role in driving the creative energy, conceptualization, and execution of all creative projects and campaigns across various platforms across multiple non conflicting brands in the UK market. Responsible for developing and overseeing the overarching concept and vision for marketing campaigns, creative overhauls, marketing initiatives, and best use of video and image content production to capitalize on sales as a result.

The successful candidate will articulate their ideas clearly to both the senior directors and stakeholders which includes the brand and marketing team. Your expertise lies in outlining the stylistic nuances of each project, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand identity, whilst understanding the core commercial objectives. The commercial return and successful metrics of every campaign will be at the heart of everything you do. The collaboration with the brand and commercial teams to gain insight into the performance of creative efforts, and identifying successful strategies and areas for improvement to evolve our creative direction effectively is a crucial part of this role.

This role requires strong leadership and the ability to offer guidance and support to the wider creative and digital teams, and the capability to empower individuals to unleash their full potential. Strategic vision, a key eye for detail, obsession with process and operational proficiency are instrumental in shaping the success of the creative team amidst a dynamic and competitive environment where priorities change daily subject to trading conditions. We need somebody who is agile and well versed in in working in a fast-paced environment with multiple workflows in play.

This role will lead a talented team of creative designers with varying skill sets and a copywriter.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with company objectives and target audience.
  • Lead and inspire a team of creatives ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation.
  • Work at a senior management level cross functionally with marketing, digital, product and commercial teams
  • Lead all new season creative identity, campaigns and projects.
  • Drive the development of compelling visual and written content including blogs, adverts, emails and video and social media.
  • Understand business objectives and target, adjusting projects accordingly to meet them.
  • Develop and oversee the creative vision and concepts behind multi-channel projects/campaigns at the highest level.
  • Be a champion and guardian of brands visual identity in the UK by creating and enforcing design and branding guidelines.
  • Align creative departments and key stakeholders in the execution of ideas.
  • Create and enforce process, procedures and SLA’s.
  • Meet regularly with the brand team to discuss project scope and direction.
  • Manage budgets, resources and timelines effectively to deliver projects on time and best in class.
  • Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of content initiatives and make data-driven decisions for future strategies.
  • Create and develop necessary design guidelines and helpful tools to support the design team.
  • Creative Asset management and best use of Images and Videos ensuring the team have access to the most up to date brand content and understand when and how to use it.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, audience preferences, and emerging technologies to continuously optimize content strategy and creative direction.

The skills needed:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role, ideally in a creative agency, or client-side design team, working across multiple brands.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing content strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and business results.
  • Strong creative and conceptual vision, bringing stakeholders on the journey to execute high quality integrated campaigns.
  • Experience working with Adobe creative suite.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team, fostering a culture of creativity and personal growth.
  • Well versed in brand values, and the role creative and content marketing has in achieving success.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a commercial mindset, understanding the impact design has on conversion.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong and effective communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Ability to effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders.
