Fantastic opportunity for a talented Head of Conference Production to join a leading media business to lead and oversee the content for a portfolio of global events.

The Head of Content will work on a portfolio of global events.

Reporting to the director of global events, you will be responsible for end-to-end content delivery of your own events and have sign-off authority and responsibility for speakers, topics and formats across the events portfolio.

You will be expected to encourage innovation and improvement from previous events and oversee work in partnership with their host partners to produce high quality programmes that reach both parties’ objectives.

You must have demonstrable experience of successfully producing events and managing a team of content/conference producers. An interest in the education sector would be great.

You’ll need to be used to a fast-paced environment, be an innovative thinker and have the ability to research and discover key topics and the best speakers.

You will have a creative approach to be able to spot opportunities that add value and enhance the experience of our stakeholders. You’ll need to be confident talking to senior leaders and stakeholders.

You will play a leadership role in delivery of their global events, in partnership with their host partners.

The role is a split between management and supporting a content team of up to six. Approx 70/30 split in favour of management.

Experience and Skills required: Head of Content

  • Proven and demonstrable experience successfully producing international events, ideally within the education sector
  • Confident and talented self-starter who can hit the ground running
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with senior leaders from government, NGOS, academia and industry
  • Commercially astute and entrepreneurial outlook in order to work on commercial events Experience of work with media and communications
  • Ability to work to agreed deadlines, working well under pressure
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills in order to manage and prioritise workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling, grammar and proofreading, with the ability to tailor style and approach to suit a variety of global audiences
  • Passionate about international higher education and global affairs MS Office essential - Word, Excel and PowerPoint Flexibility to travel overseas to events
