Job Opportunity: Head of Compliance - Asset Finance Lender

Are you an experienced Compliance professional looking for a leadership role in the finance industry? Look no further! Our client, a leading Asset Finance lender based in the UK, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Head of Compliance to join their team.
Position: Head of Compliance Location: West Midlands (infrequent travel required - couple of times a month) Salary: Competitive salary + benefits package Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead and manage a small compliance team, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations.
• Conduct regular compliance reviews and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide expert advice on compliance matters and promote a culture of compliance across the organization.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments, advising senior management on potential impacts and necessary actions.
• Handle regulatory inquiries and audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

• Proven experience in a compliance role within the financial services sector, preferably within Asset Finance.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations such as FCA regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and GDPR.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
