Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage the commissioning function, including strategy development, service design, procurement, and contract management. You'll oversee critical areas such as education, adult and children social care, public health, housing, and health services within the People's Department.
• Team Management: Manage a team of dedicated officers responsible for commissioning/market management and health and social care transformation programs.
• Outcome Improvement: Develop and implement effective commissioning strategies to enhance outcomes for children, adults, and their families. Align these strategies with best value principles.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and consultation throughout the commissioning process.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to national and local regulations, processes, and procedures. Maintain consistency between strategic service delivery plans and commissioning strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

3 Years Post Qualifying Experience in Commissioning
