Your New Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Business Development collaborating with the Work Winning leads based in London. 

The standard hours of work are 37.5 per week. 

As Head of Amey’s Business Development Process and Product Owner for Amey’s Customer Relationship Management System. Accountable for theMiller Heiman Sales Methodology Process for Amey Group and CRM System that results in secured new business Single Sales Objectives (SSOs) and supports the achievement of growth targets. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Utilising the data from the CRM System to integrating into Amey’s core decision making processes.
  • Delivering a training programme for the CRM System, Miller Heiman processes and Governance Gateway.
  • Ownership and management of the Miller Heiman programme review cycle ensuing the processes are fully adopted and is consisten and effective throughout Amey.
  • Chair the business development governance forum and collaborate with Work Winning leads to ensure that the business development process is consistent and effective coordination is developed and maintained across Amey.
  • Support, develop and drive a culture of client centricity and cross-Amey business collaboration.
  • Liaise closely with Group Bidding Quality & Compliance Manager and Knowledge Manager to ensure required bid collateral is available and relevant to provide bid winning solutions 
  • Product owner and oversight responsibility for Amey’s Customer Relationship Management System and supporting business development tools.
  • Closely collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their business objectives, requirements, and CRM needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with end users providing support, making sure the CRM system is being used, arranging demo/feedback sessions.
  • Monitor CRM performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement, recommending and driving enhancements to optimise Business Development, Marketing and Operational processes.
  • Operate as the key influencer for data quality, partnering with business stakeholders, marketing, and technology teams to design and lead initiatives to improve data and carry out regular data cleansing activity.
  • Analyse both quantitative and qualitative data to ensure that we are achieving desired business outcomes.
  • Continuously evaluate and prioritise CRM System features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business value, user needs, and strategic goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, process flows, and training materials, to drive best practice and facilitate effective use of the CRM.
  • Advocate the CRM platform and keep the business and stakeholders engaged. Be the main point of contact for any queries raised. Establish channels for consistent communications and support. Organise workshops and webinars to provide updates on enhancements, new features, and refreshes.
  • Product owner and oversight responsibility for Amey’s work winning and approvals’ governance tool (Governance Gateway).
  • Work with the teams responsible for delivery and review of Amey’s bidding responses to ensure there is consistency between pre-bidding & bidding activity through to operations.

Profile description:

  • Miller Heiman Coach accreditation desirable.
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a business development or similar role in a corporate multi- disciplinary environment.
  • Degree level in appropriate discipline or equivalent relevant experience (technical or business/marketing related)
  • Membership of appropriate professional body desirable, but not essential.
