JOB TITLE: Head of Analytics and Business Intelligence

SALARY: £80,000-£100,000

LOCATION: East Midlands/ Nottingham

We are looking to hire an experienced Head of Analytics and BI (Business Intelligence) for our client based in Nottingham. The role requires a strong leader, someone highly influential who can help improve and keep standards high across commercial finance and business intelligence. Leading a team of 10-12 people across 2 teams.

Job Specification: Head of Analytics and BI

The role of Head of Analytics and BI will be to manage the business transformation of the business as a data driven business.

You’ll be able to effectively work and negotiate with senior executives on strategy, standards, practices and data interpretation. Developing and implementing analytical tool enhancements and continuous improvements.

In addition you’ll be responsible for but not limited to:-

• Managing direct reports, systems and projects to achieve business unit goals in accordance with company policies and practices.
• Developing junior members of the team to ensure sufficient bandwidth and mitigation of key man dependencies.
• Leading teams to improved results, setting clear objectives and measures.
• Working with Finance, IT, and various stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, timely and addressing business needs.
• Facilitating communication between teams, including status and technical information (architecture,design and implementation objectives).
• Performing ad-hoc analysis on various aspects of the business to facilitate the key stakeholders.
• Preparation of board reports, business updates.

Experience and required Qualifications: Head of Analytics and BI

As Head of Analytics and BI We are looking for someone with several years’ experience in a similar role having led a team, someone with the ability to lead from the front, mentor peers and coach teammates. You’ll be required to develop automated reporting for the business as well as communicating insights to the business from the data analytics. You’ll need a minimum of 5 years’ management experience.

Experience of using market data insights into business data to identify trends & opportunities.

And the ability to mentor peers, and coach teammates.

In addition you need to have:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA,ACCA, ACA)
• Power Bi programmer (Advanced)
• Advanced Excel user
• Advanced Powerpoint for presentations
• Excellent communicator at all levels, backed by experience.
