Salary: £35 to £45k, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

VL Test Systems Ltd (VLT) is a leading supplier of high-quality Commercial Vehicle testing equipment with a wealth of experience in the Commercial Brake Tester market.

Head of Accounting - The Role:

Join VLT as our Head of Accounting and take charge of overseeing daily financial operations.

You will be working closely with local management and the CFO in the Netherlands to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance.

Key tasks & responsibilities:

As Head of Accounting, you will be responsible for accurate daily processing accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank-/cash registers.

• Processing accounts payable/ receivable daily and accurately.

• Overseeing the monthly, quarterly and year end closing.
• Analysing expenses and credit card statements.
• Occasional cash flow reporting and analysing.
• Controlling debtors.
• Review internal control assessments.
• Stock controlling and adjustment.
• Any other duties that may relate to the accounting role.

Head of Accounting - Qualifications, Experience & Profile:

We are looking for someone capable of being hands on and proactive, you will ideally be experienced in driving high quality existing processes while maintaining an eye for detail. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have the following:

• Between 3 - 5 years’ experience within a similar role with the ability to thrive within a small team environment.
• Be able to demonstrate your skills within process optimisation and documentation.
• Extensive experience within the accounting world with the knowledge to guide and coach a team to the next level.
• An easy commute within reasonable distance of Buckingham
• Familiarity with the exact used software’s.
