A client of ours, an independent firm based in central London, are looking to bolster their senior leadership team by bringing in a Head of Accounting to work closely with the team.

What makes it interesting with this firm and role is the flexibility, you are able to work remotely. They do have a London office, but the majority of the staff are based all across the UK, meaning they will never be an 'office-based' firm.

You will deal with technical accounting queries and will be the driver of results within the firm.

Details of the role

• You will oversee the delivery of all accounting services provided to clients
• Build strong working relationships with clients, offering advice based on understanding of what matters to them
• Final review of all year-end accounts and corporation tax returns, ensuring accounts are accurate with correct disclosures
• Responsible for all areas of technical accounting/corporation tax, especially in areas common with start-ups
• Management of Client Managers, ensuring continued personal development through coaching and strong leadership

What you'll need to succeed

• You will be a fully qualified, technically strong Accountant
• You will be a self-starter, a remote working role means full responsibility and flexibility for your career
• Be a technically strong Accountant, able to interpret complex accounting issues and provide advice and guidance to clients
• Bring in new ways of managing results and driving change
• Be a highly technical individual comfortable with difficult accounting issues in accounts and tax
