Blackpool North Shore Golf Club is a highly regarded course on the Fylde Coast, Lancashire. The club has a proud history and is seeking an individual to lead a team as Head Greenkeeper, who will play an integral role in the continued development of the golf course, team and facilities.

Candidates should be self-motivated, enthusiastic and possess good communication skills. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of greenkeeping practices, based on sound agronomic principles, a good understanding of Health and Safety protocols in the workplace and an ability to plan, organise and monitor daily operations.

Qualifications and Key Skills required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ greenkeeping experience (post apprenticeship)
  • Qualified to a NVQ level 3 or working towards.
  • PA1, PA2 & PA6 qualifications.
  • Strong work ethic and standards of presentation.
  • Confidence to lead and motivate a team.
  • An excellent and progressive understanding of greenkeeping practices.
  • Knowledge of Irrigation systems.
  • Golf Course renovation and construction experience.
  • Proficiency in operating a fleet of modern golf course equipment.
  • A good understanding of the game of golf.

Role & Remuneration:

  • Full time - 40 Hours per week (Mon-Fri) plus weekend and bank holiday work on rota
  • Management role - Participate in department and club operational meetings
  • Liaise with club members, employees, suppliers, contacts and clients in line with club policy
