Head Chef Luxury Picnic Catering

This independent catering company is looking for a well organised and creative Head chef to lead the team at their brand-new production kitchen outside Watford.

The company makes delicious sandwiches, cakes, pastries, brunches, canapes, salads, grazing boards and high teas for bespoke picnic hampers, outside catering, and picnic events. Everything is homemade, fresh and with a special touch. The picnic setups are really unique and include flowers, games, tables, blankets, pillows, umbrellas as well as providing bespoke touches for every client.

The kitchen environment is always chatty, energetic, and fun.

Required skills & experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar kitchen
  • Up to date with current food safety and hygiene regulations and legislation
  • Kitchen management experience, stock, staff rotas, costing etc
  • Knowledge of baking
  • An eye for detail & a "can do" attitude
  • Comfortable running events

Our ideal candidate will be well organised, reliable, and creative chef capable of leading a small team to create special events at every level. You will have some event catering experience, strong kitchen management skills and excellent attention to detail.

You must be happy working closely the company owners and be able to work mornings, weekends and at events as required.

5-day week (hours will vary)

Salary: Up to £40,000

Own transport is essential due to location
