Head Chef

A core client for Anthony James recruitment in the heart of London is seeking a Head Chef to join their team permanently for their site with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 on offer. What does the role entail?

Your role as the Head Chef will be to lead the site through their menu changes and the training and development of all chefs and the kitchen targets are met. You will be working alongside the Executive Chef, the Ops Manager, HR, and the owners of the business to ensure the site's kitchen is consistently making delicious food and customers leave happy and fulfilled.

You will oversee training, ordering, invoicing, and the overall quality of food for the site. You will be providing a positive work atmosphere and being the voice of the restaurant's kitchen. You will also be working with external food suppliers and officials from the local council among others. Finally, you will help create a structure and system within the kitchen to help further replicate the success of the business.

What skills will you have?

The ideal candidate for this Head Chef will be able to perform the above duties with ease. It would be advantageous if you have experience in working for brands with high growth management although this is not essential. It would also be advantageous to be up to date on current food and drink trends. Due to the nature of the restaurant, a fundamental appreciation of Mediterranean food is essential. Above all, you will be a hard-working, flexible, and trustworthy team member, who can step in to support the management and development of all as well. To be the perfect candidate you will have experience working in a steakhouse or grill kitchen.
