Head Chef Pub and Restaurant

We are looking for an experienced chef to run our kitchen in our honest village pub. We are a local pub, with a close-knit awesome team. Located in the historic village of Dunchurch, serving classic hearty pub meals, such as pies, steaks, fish and chips etc.

You will be required to have previous experience managing a kitchen, leading a team and be able to use your intuition and creativity to help drive our kitchen forward.

Tasks will include:

  • Creating and developing innovative menu items that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
  • Maintaining kitchen EHO standards, including the supervision of other kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective menus while maintaining high-quality standards, using local and fresh produce
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Job specification:

  • Estimated 45 hours per week
  • Tip system paid monthly
  • Free food provided on shift
  • Set-menu serving traditional pub food
  • Serving 30-50 covers per shift (evenings)
  • Premium pay, based on experience

Paid monthly - £31,000 to £35,000 annual salary (based on experience)

We are flexible and happy to work with you around any commitments you may have, though you will be expected to work on a rota which will include evenings and weekends.
