Job Title - Qualified Social Worker - Fostering Team

Location - Civic Centre, Hartlepool Borough Council (3 days per week), Remote Work (2 days per week)

Hartlepool Borough Council is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children in need. They are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join their Fostering Service Team. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families within our community.

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments and providing ongoing support to foster carers
• Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in care
• Undertaking statutory visits and reviews of foster placements
• Participating in the recruitment and training of foster carers
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience working within a fostering or children's social care setting
• Strong assessment and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children
