My client based in Salisbury is looking for a BMS Specialist in Haematology & Blood Transfusion, for an urgent locum contract, starting asap.

The Role:

• Job Title:Specialist Biomedical Scientist
• Band: 6
• Dept: Haematology/Blood Transfusion
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 12 Month MINIMUM
• Shift Patterns:
  • Full time ideally (37.5hrs/wk) or more. Shift patterns can be arranged to suit candidate and shifts are as follows.
  • Monday to Friday:
    • 08:00 - 16:30
    • 09:00 - 17:30
    • 12:00 - 20:00
    • 20:00 - 08:00
  • Saturday and Sunday:
    • 08:00 - 20:00
    • 20:00 - 08:00

Requirements:

• HCPC Registered as a Biomedical Scientistspecialising in Haematology and Blood Transfusion
• Apparatus:
  • Beckman Coulter DxH 900s
  • Beckman Coulter Automate
  • Remisol interface
  • Stago StaR Max coagulation analysers
  • BioRad IH500 Blood Transfusion Analyser
  • Blood360 blood tracking
  • Tosoh G11
  • Sebia Electrophoresis
  • Telepath LIMS Specialist Portfolio
• Candidate Must Be highly technically competent and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• The role requires analysis and reporting of results from biological samples, from primary and secondary care patients.
• Independent working and participation in 24/7 service.
• In depth knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements for work in medical laboratories.
• Candidate will be required to cover both Haematology and Blood Transfusion
