Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our company based near Shaftesbury who are looking to recruit for a Health & Safety Officer to join the team for a 12-month maternity contract.

What you will be doing:

As the appointed Health & Safety Officer you will coordinate, support, this is a standalone role where you will advise the manufacturing and retail business on all aspects regarding Health & Safety.

  • You will be responsible for the management of specific services and facilities that support the smooth running of the site.
  • Day to day operations, particularly in relation to equipment, catering, cleaning, security, and utilities.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Qualified in NEBOSH General Certificate (Level 3).
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role.
  • Demonstrate a track record in delivering continuous improvement.
  • Able to manage health and safety investigations.
  • Create and revising health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.

What you will receive in return:

  • £40,000 per annum (DOE).
  • Hours - Monday to Friday (7am to 15.00PM or 9am to 17.00PM) 35 hours per week.
  • 100% site based, with occasional travel to other sites.
  • 25 days holiday + 8 Bank holidays.
  • Life Insurance.
