H&S Manager

Hays Health & Safety are delighted to working with this specialist organisation based in Merseyside, in recruiting for a H&S Manager to join the team

Currently enjoying a period of fantastic growth, this business provides maintenance services across the property sector, and works on Frameworks with some of the leading organisations and Local Authorities across the UK

They are currently looking for an experienced H&S Manager to join the business, and support the growth and culture of the organisation in promoting and driving a positive H&S culture and ethos

Reporting into the Senior Leadership team, you'll be managing a team of 3 and must ideally have worked in a H&S Management role previously, although we can consider candidates who are wishing to take that first step into management who have solid experience working within H&S

We are looking for people from the Construction / Maintenance / Social Housing sector and have experience working within that business as a H&S professional

Key responsibilities will include:

• Management and Responsibility of the H&S team, and overall H&S function of the business
• Drive and promote a positive H&S culture across the business
• Conduct H&S inspections and reviews where appropriate
• Carry out site audits and support the site teams
• Work closely with the Operations teams, and the organisation as a whole to drive efficient and positive H&S behaviour
• Conduct and run any specific H&S training required by the business
• Work with the Senior Leadership Team to implement any new procedures or standards
• Complete all KPI's

You will have NEBOSH General as a minimum and have strong communication and leadership skills.

You will be professional, confident and be an effective team-player
