H&S / CDM Advisor - Engineering Consultancy

Nottingham - full hybrid, flexible working: 2 days office / 3 days home with onsite client visits

Up to £45,000 dependent of experience + benefits

  • Advise and assist with client and project demands.
  • Provide advice and support on how to comply with specific Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensure suitable arrangements are made and implemented for the coordination of Health and Safety measures during the planning and preparation of construction phases. Complete all appropriate paperwork and communicate them through appropriate channels.
  • Assist with the development of strategies for maintaining the flow of relevant Health and Safety related information throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project designs meet safety requirements through liaising with principal contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Advise clients on the practicality of their project in specific terms of CDM Regulations.
  • Manage a portfolio of multiple CDM/PD projects at different stages for internal and external clients, ensuring these are proactively managed.
  • Assist with bidding and business development opportunities for new work and consistently seek to promote the practice.
  • Undertake regular monthly office audits of random projects to ensure CDM duties are being discharged by the Oxford office team.

Essential skills, experience, and attributes…

  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to the construction industry and willing to learn and develop knowledge within the field of CDM and health and safety.
  • Qualification in health and safety (NEBOSH construction, TechIOSH etc.).
  • Membership with IMAPS
  • 3 years of CDM experience
