Group Reporting Manager

Think Accountancy and Finance are seeking a Qualified Group Accountant for a growing business in Hemel Hempstead. This is a pivotal role in a large finance team reporting to the Finance Director.

This role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a first role in Industry having Qualified in Practice. The client is seeking someone who is ACA qualified with 3-5 years PQE.

This position is an external facing role with a key focus on accurately reporting for the Group P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. You will also ensure key financial controls are in place for Stock and Capital Expenditure as well as managing the audit, statutory reporting and submission of the VAT return.

The position will have direct line management of one member of the team.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of quarterly Group consolidation providing reconciliation to management accounts
• Ensure all statutory accounts are submitted on a timely basis
• Manage the external audit across the wider Finance department
• Co-ordinate with External Accountants for tax provisioning and submission of corporation tax returns
• Preparation of quarterly VAT return and submission
• Maintain and develop an appropriate control environment for Capex
• Ensure reconciliations are in place for the reporting of Fixed Assets
• Monitor and improve robust controls for the accounting and reporting of stock
• Process Improvement
• Support the Capex Budget and reforecast

To be considered for this role you will be/have:

• Qualified ACA Accountant with a background in Practice.
• Experience of preparing statutory accountants
• Capex reporting experience
• Have experienced managing a small team
• Experience of audit
