Group Reporting Accountant Role Overview

As a global leader in their field and because of a recent promotion, my client is now looking for an ACA/ ACCA Qualified Reporting Accountant to join their Corporate Group Reporting Team. This is an ideal first move out of Audit/ Practice into Industry to fulfil a key role. You will be responsible for supporting the reporting of the consolidated group results (40+ entities) both externally to the Group’s listed investor and to the Board. You will also take responsibility for supporting the audit and corporation tax requirements for the Group.

Group Reporting Accountant Responsibilities

  • Monthly management reporting – Provide accurate, well presented, and timely monthly reports to, The Board, and external parties as required. Providing relevant commentary as required.
  • Quarterly reporting to listed investor – Provide quarterly reporting of the consolidated results and relevant disclosures.
  • Preparation of the statutory format consolidation – Support the Consolidation of results from all divisions. Resolution of complex accounting and consolidation issues as required.
  • Covenant reporting – Assist the Treasury Team with any queries as part of the external covenant reporting; management accounts driven by the consolidation report are required by various banks and third parties at regular intervals.
  • Project Accounting – Support with business-critical projects, providing information to the wider business as required
  • Support Continual Improvements – Continually look to add value and improvements to streamline current processes, improving efficiencies.

Group Reporting Accountant Required Experience:

  • Qualified ACA/ ACCA Accountant with relevant experience in a similar capacity (Practice or Industry)
  • Audit and corporation tax experience gained from a practice or industry background (Top 10 is highly advantageous)
  • Analytical skill that can be applied logically to new challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop trusting and credible relationships at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to questions or challenge convention, with a focus upon driving improvements and efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Have an inquisitive mind with the confidence to challenge convention as required.
  • Be committed to driving forward improvements and efficiencies.
  • Ability to take personal responsibility and accountability for workload.
  • Comfortable working independently of direct supervision with the ability to demonstrate personal initiative and drive.
  • A flexible approach with the ability to work to tight timescales, to meet the demands of the Board, Senior Management Team, and Investors.
