We have an exciting opportunity available in Loughton for a Group Management Accountant to become part of our client's team. For finance professionals aiming for career advancement, this role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company.

The chosen candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the Finance function. This multifaceted position involves overseeing the production of management accounts, month-end processes, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities of the Group Management Accountant will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Prepare consolidated Group Management Accounts monthly and review subsidiary companies' Management Accounts
  • Review key P&L and balance sheet items for annual/interim reports
  • Prepare and review month-end board packs for a timely month-end close by the 15th
  • Implement new financial controls, ensure statutory reporting completion
  • Manage day-to-day accounting, establish month-end processes
  • Reconcile monthly Invoice Finance Facility and Debtor Balances
  • Forecast cash flow, provide Daily Cash flow analysis for Directors
  • Prepare and review monthly PAYE submissions, reconciliations
  • Review quarterly VAT Returns for Group entities
  • Coordinate with auditors, third-party advisors for tax returns
  • Manage all yearly and monthly Tax submissions
  • Calculate and prepare Monthly Staff Salaries for smaller companies
  • Build, mentor, and develop a team of Accounts Assistants and 2 business analysts
  • Provide support to the Finance Team as needed

The successful Group Management Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
  • Previous involvement in Medical Recruitment is advantageous
  • Demonstrated proficiency in team management
  • Proficient system skills, preferably with Sage 50 and Merit Software, although not mandatory
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal financial control objectives and operations
  • Aptitude for swiftly establishing relationships with external and internal stakeholders across all levels with assurance
  • Track record in overseeing finance projects/implementations
