HR Employment is currently looking for a Group Logistic Manager to join our well established client on a permanent basis.

Main Duties:

  • To ensure that the Group fleet of commercial vehicles is scheduled in an efficient manner, in line with customer and operational need.
  • Management of the companies Operators licences, ensuring compliance against their requirements.
  • Management of the transport team and relevant depots, including administration and drivers.
  • Management of the groups company vehicles.

Main Duties :

  • Scheduling of vehicles, either directly or by delegated duties to ensure that the customer and operational needs are met.
  • Scheduling of vehicles in an efficient manner in terms of profitability and resource efficiency.
  • Vehicle compliance against the Operator licence requirements for Brownhills and Sneyd transport depots.
  • Driver compliance against the Operator’s licence requirements for Brownhills and Sneyd transport depots.
  • Management of drivers.
  • Management of Transport team, including those on the remote depots. This may require working remotely from the base location.
  • Ensuring CPC training of all drivers is kept current.
  • Development and maintenance of a training matrix, in line with company’s policies and procedures.
  • Development, review and contribution towards the Group Transport Safe Systems of Work (RAMS), with support from the wider group.
  • Development and maintenance of the groups FORS accreditation.
  • Developing and reporting on site and group KPI’s, in conjunction with the Group Operations Director.
  • Participation in regular review meetings in relation to the business. These may be held remotely from the base location. - Development, integration and embedding of the SAP system into Logistics department.
  • Generation of IPOs in line with the IPO Procedure for Brownhills and Purchase Orders in SAP for Sneyd.
  • Cost control - manage costs within an agreed budget, reporting variances accordingly.
