A global Utilities business with a strong commitment to sustainability are looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join their team. The business is entering an exciting growth phase which you will be a part of. With flexi-working, you will join an ambitious and collaborative team, that will support both your personal and professional development; working closely with senior stakeholders and partnering with various teams to ensure accurate and efficient reporting.

It is important the successful individual is proactive, motivated, has strong knowledge of IFRS and comes from an audit background.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and group adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Key contact for auditors, assisting with both interim and year-end deliverables.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Group Annual report, including board packs.
  • Continue to refine and maintain existing procedures/practices.
  • Work closely with the FP&A team, preparing budgets and forecasts.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with PQE
  • Audit background preferred.
  • Industry experience ideal.
  • Experience of group consolidation.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems preferred.
