Kenneth Brian Associates are seeking an experienced Qualified Financial Accountant to join a highly successful business based in Crawley!

As the Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for all aspects of group reporting, including playing a lead role in the annual audit process and managing a team of 2.

You will be an integral member of the group’s finance team, working closely with the Group Financial Controller, Group Management Accountant and CFO at the group’s head office.

As a Group Financial Accountant you will be:

  • Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the group and being the key contact person for all balance sheet related queries and analyses
  • Accounting for/processing of transactions in the group’s main holding companies
  • Producing the statutory accounts for over 400 entities within the UK Group.
  • Working with the Group Financial Controller to ensure monthly, quarterly and yearly deadlines are achieved
  • Identifying new accounting standards and working with the business to ensure continued compliance
  • Preparing well-written accounting technical papers, for example papers which document any corporate activity undertaken and papers which support subjective accounting judgements made
  • Assisting the group finance team with the development and evolution of group wide controls, systems and processes

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Fully Qualified; ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Technically strong
  • External Audit experience
  • Experience working with complex consolidations
  • Ability to deliver with exceptional levels of accuracy and has fanatical attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and driven to succeed
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes
