We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Group Financial Accountant to join a successful business with turnover of £120+ million. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, analysing financial data, and managing the financial operations of the organisation. This is a critical role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and implement financial control procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts and provide reports to management on financial performance and trends.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly financial reviews to identify areas of improvement and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for external stakeholders, such as auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to travel abroad during audit periods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent
• ACA/ACCA Qualified
• Minimum of 2 years of PQ experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills
