JSS are partnered with a well-established FTSE in Luton who are actively recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant to join their friendly and expanding team. A successful candidate will demonstrate impressive attention to detail and an excellent team player attitude. Main Responsibilities:

  • Completion of key month end processes in line with prescribed timetables
  • Responsibility for preparing and posting journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Completion of monthly group reporting package and other information required for shareholder reporting
  • Preparation of year end statutory accounts for the Group and statutory returns
  • Interaction with internal and external auditors
  • Operate financial controls, and look for ways to enhance the control framework
  • Assistance with technical IFRS issues as they arise
  • Assistance with change projects, such as; Upgrading finance ERP system; Review of ICFR processes and identification of opportunities and improving monthly processes
  • Work in direct correlation and develop as a potential successor to the Group Financial Controller

Key Skills and experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Studying for/achieved finance qualification
  • Proven technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRA
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to investigate, identify and recommend solutions through the extrapolation of data
  • Able to pick up new systems quickly and efficiently
  • Highly organised and proactive, team player
