About the Role…

Our Group Finance Team are looking for an Interim Financial Accountant to join us on a fixed term 12 months contract. The Group Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial accounting and reporting activities of the organization.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial information, supporting the preparation of financial statements, and assisting with various accounting and compliance tasks. The Group Financial Accountant must possess strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the production of monthly, quarterly and annual group financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop the group-level balance sheet reconciliations, including but not limited to external borrowings, and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the production of the monthly Group consolidation, working closely with other finance team members to gather and validate financial information.
  • Contribute to various ad hoc financial reporting projects as and when required, providing support and analysis to facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Support the management of the annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules, liaising with auditors, and addressing audit queries.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial data and ensure data integrity.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and appreciation of general accounting
  • Experience in group accounting function
  • Strong excel skills
  • Technically strong and knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience in preparing financial statements desirable
  • Experience with consolidation desirable
