Group Finance Manager

Gleeson Recruitment Group are seeking a talented Group Finance Manager to work with one of our close clients in Birmingham. As the Group Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the consolidation process for the group, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Lead the management of accruals, prepayments, and provisions, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies as necessary.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes.
• Provide support for audits and act as a key point of contact for external auditors.
• Manage a team of finance professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a large multinational organisation.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP).
• Extensive experience in preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns, and tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, or related field.
