Finance Manager | 12 month FTC Mat Cover | High growth retail | Manchester | £55,000-60,000

Axon Moore are pleased to be yet again partnering with a leading Retail Business based in Manchester looking for a Qualified Finance Manager to join the team for a 12 month FTC. The role will be project driven, supporting the Financial Controller with the preparation of financial statements, P&L reporting and accounts production. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high growth environment given the hands on nature of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly Group P&L reporting and variance analysis.
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various business areas.
  • Review accruals, prepayments and provisions, maintaining a detailed audit trail for all manual entries.
  • Manage risks and opportunities on the balance sheet
  • Works closely with the wider finance department to understand financial movements.
  • Support Head Office functions through regular reviews of costs ensuring any queries are dealt with quickly
  • Maintain listings of key judgemental items including provisions and accruals including detailed supporting information
  • Ensure agreed group policies are implemented into each subsidiary and work with each foreign entity to ensure compliance
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as an when they arise

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • Ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data
  • Hands-on, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Retail experience is advantageous
