Group Finance Director | c.£85,000 + Benefits | Lancaster Area | Profitable, Entrepreneurial SME

Axon Moore has partnered with an exciting business in Lancaster to hire their next Group Finance Director. This role will be suitable for a first time Finance Director or equally an experienced Finance Director looking for a new challenge.

My client is well established within their industry with a rich heritage and an excellent reputation within their field. They’re longstanding commitment to their niche means there is little competition, and they have a deep understanding of the problems their customers face. They pride themselves on customer service and the quality of their product which has set them apart as market leaders.

Reporting to the Board and Managing Director, The Group Finance Director will be responsible for the financial running and performance of the business. They will be expected to manage external relationships with banks, auditors, legal, insurance etc and they will be playing a key role in informing long term strategy as they position themselves for the future.

Day-to-day, the Group Finance Director will be hands on improving the running of the business. They will be part of a strong operational SMT in a complex environment, so they will be commercially talented and a strong people leader. This business continuously reinvests into their people and operations and so there will be a variety of project work to undertake in this role.
