Are you an experienced Financial Accountant with a strong commitment to financial compliance and governance? Our client, a prestigious organisation, is seeking a Group Finance Compliance Accountant for their dynamic team.

As the Group Finance Compliance Accountant, you will play a key role in assessing and implementing changes to meet the ever-evolving requirements of UK Corporate Governance. This presents a distinctive opportunity to actively contribute to the expansion and enhancement of the Financial Compliance and Governance function within the Group.

Responsibilities as the Group Finance Compliance Accountant include but are not limited to:
  • Evaluate changes to UK Accounting Standards (primarily FRS 102) and ensure adherence across the Group.
  • Communicate upcoming changes in UK Accounting Standards to key stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation of necessary changes to processes and internal controls.
  • Provide compliance guidance and training to finance teams.
  • Enhance governance and internal controls for financial processes Group-wide.
  • Review and maintain Group Directives/policies and Finance and Accounting manuals.
  • Coordinate completion and review of internal controls matrices.
  • Review reconciliation of subsidiary statutory accounts for group consolidation.

To be considered for the position of Group Finance Compliance Accountant you will require:
  • Professional qualification in accounting (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
  • Experience in developing and implementing internal controls and processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining 2-3 days of office presence in Croydon with remote work for the remainder of the week.
